Henry is unofficially homeschooled, meaning that I have no set schedule that I follow, no specific times to do school work.  Being a new 4 year old, his job is mainly to play.  When he does want to "do school," we read from the selection of books above.  He has already learned to recognize and write all of his letters and numbers, and he is learning all of the sounds associated with the letters-prereading, in effect.  He likes to read in the early mornings when he gets up, often he brings a book downstairs with him. If Henry'a wake-up time is TOO early, and I am not ready for him to be awake...he gets to work on the Starfall website.  He participates in most of Trumans schoolwork, since we read outloud he listens to all of the AO readings.  Henry's memory is fabulous, and he often mentions the stories throughout the day.  Henry is included in our nature studies, and he has his own notebook for drawing, although he gets frustrated very easily with his drawings.  I think he might have a streak of perfectionism running through him.
He has his own binder where we put his work, his own school supplies (crayons, scissors, stickers..) and can happily spend hours cutting away paper into a pile of clippings.
The first day of School, Henry received a huge container of Tinker Toys, and spent almost all of our first week building in his "workshop" on the stairs.  I hope it continues....
